Lucky Penny started with a simple idea: Kansas City pride could be a little more joyful, a little more current and inclusive, and a lot more fun to wear.

After years as a marketing executive building brands for other companies, I decided to build one of my own right here in Kansas City, where I’m also raising my daughter and falling more in love with this city all the time.

The name Lucky Penny has two meanings close to my heart. Penny was my beloved dog, and the name is a little ode to her. It’s also a wink to Kansas City, the City of Fountains. and all those lucky pennies we toss in while making a wish.

Lucky Penny brings together the things I love most about great brands: good design, connection, and just enough personality to make you smile.
